Steven Shapiro

Steven Shapiro is an alumnus of the University of Michigan and the Gonzaga University School of Law. He has practiced law in Montana for 30 years.

Steven Shapiro started his career in the law in Miles City as a staff attorney for Montana Legal Services. He then spent several years with a law firm in Glendive and was a deputy county attorney. From 1984 to 1990, he was chief legal counsel of the state Workers Compensation Division, and then worked for the state Department of Commerce for two years.

Steven Shapiro opened his law office for the general practice of law in 1992. The office is located in Montana City, Montana. Most of his work is centered in Jefferson, Lewis & Clark, and Broadwater counties, but he is available to provide services throughout the state of Montana.

Steven Shapiro has been the city attorney for the City of Boulder since 1998. In this position, he has developed expertise in land use, employment, governmental regulation, organizational issues, and other fields.
