Steven Balkema – Big Rapids Estate Planning Attorney

Steven attended Ferris State University and graduated with honors, receiving a bachelor of arts degrees in Communication and History. He then attended WMU Cooley Law School in Grand Rapids. Steven graduated from WMU Cooley Magna Cum Laude and received the Leadership Achievement Award. While building his career, he worked at the Sixty-Plus Clinic in Lansing providing legal services to the elderly, externed at a boutique elder law firm, and has been working at the Jordan Balkema Elder Law Center since June 2019. His work here focuses on estate planning, guardianships, conservatorships, probate administration, trust administration, and real estate. Steven is involved in the WMU Cooley Law School National Alumni Association as a Board Member, the American Bar Association, the Grand Rapids Bar Association, Leadership Mecosta, and the Big Rapids Jaycees. He and his wife reside in Big Rapids.
